Things to do in Perth travel?
Perth is pleasantly sited on the Swan and Canning rivers, with the cerulean Indian Ocean to the west and the ancient Darling Ranges to the east. It claims to be the sunniest state capital in Australia and the most isolated capital city in the world. Here are some of the places to see:
Kings Park is very much the lungs of the city centre and affords superb views across Perth and the river. It includes a 17-hectare Botanic Garden and a section of natural bushland. In spring, there's a cultivated display of WA's famed wild flowers.
Interesting buildings include the excellent Berndt Museum of Anthropology, in the Social Sciences Building of the University of WA. This is one of Australia's finest collections of traditional and contemporary Australian Aboriginal art, combining material from Arnhem Land in the Northern Territory and the south-west, desert and Kimberley regions of WA.
Underwater World, north of the city at Hillarys Boat Harbour, has an extraordinary underwater tunnel aquarium displaying 2500 examples of 200 marine species including sharks and stingrays. There are also interactive displays such as a Touch Pool, Microworld and an audiovisual theatre. In season there are three-hour whalewatching trips to see humpbacks.
Perth residents claim the city has the best beaches and surf of any Australian city. There are calm bay beaches on the Swan River at Crawley, Peppermint Grove and Como. Or you can try a whole string of patrolled surf beaches on the Indian Ocean coast, including Perth's very popular nude beach at Swanbourne. Scarborough is known for its beachside café society, and is great for experienced surfers and sailboarders. Perhaps the best beach of all is on secluded Carnac Island, frequented by the odd marooned human and some sea lions.

Perth Travel and Night Life
Perth has a variety of clubs playing a variety of music from commercial top 20 to underground house to jungle and hiphop to funk to alternative. Also the style of music at a club may vary due to the DJ who is playing that nite. Clubs (and dancefloors) in Perth tend to be on the small side but it is the small atmosphere that can keep the floor pumping. Entry can be free early in the nite, or between $5 to $10 Aussie dollars on a regular nite. Special functions can cost more. You don't usually get drink vouchers with your entry - there's normally an hour of drink specials, again usually early in the nite. The age limit to get in is 18 and Photo ID may be required at some clubs. Hope this guide gives you some idea of what's happening here - it's happening !!!
