History of Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary

Established in 1927 by Mr Claude Reid, Lone Pine has grown to be the world's premier koala park.It has come a long way since starting with koalas named Jack and Jill. It now houses over 130 marsupials. Apart from that Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary also have 100 species of Australian native animals under its care.Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary is named after a single Hoop Pine that stands on our 22 Hectare sanctuary in Brisbane, Queensland.
