Kangaroo Island is Australia's third largest island and is about 145 kilometres long by 60 kilometres wide.
The whole island is a wilderness refuge untouched by the blights and predators rs that have affected wildlife on the mainland. Many species of plant and animal found here are no longer seen on the mainland.
All manner of water based activities are available on the island. Fish are in plentiful supply, and the island's waters are superb for scuba diving and snorkelling adventures.
